The only person responsible for your safety is you… Human beings have needs as everyone knows, food, water, shelter etc. The one thing however that is often overlooked in this list is #PROTECTION . No matter who you want to make responsible for your safety, the reality simply is that you’re the only one who can protect yourself by the grace of God. Eventually there will come a time when you will be alone with the elements and the public and the only thing standing between you and victimhood will be chance and your survival skills no matter how crude or sophisticated and refined they are.
I’m not saying that this will only be the case if your present for some catastrophe… No no my friend… This is always the case when you leave your home and are surrounded by unknown variables, all day long every single day of your life; things such as people, cars or any number of other variables represent a reality of indifferent, vicious tragedy hiding behind an illusion of safety that is only skin deep and paper thin. Survivability is measured in seconds all too often while even the best responses from our lawmen in blue take minutes.
Fortunately and unfortunately most people spend their entire lives without realizing how quickly things can go terribly wrong until they experience it firsthand. If you can train your mind for this reality before living through it, you will be one full step ahead of the game that you will hopefully never have to play. For those of us in the protection industry, the unseen reality of possible tragedy is what we live to mitigate.
