Not only does this guy have good situational awareness but he also has good tactical positioning within his environment which maximizes his situational awareness. We don’t know if he realizes he’s in a transitional space or not so context is something we don’t know if he’s aware of but his reaction time and the tools he brings to bear in order to defend himself work for him this time.

He is willing and capable and prepared and it makes all the difference in the world. It is not enough for us just to be good, we must be formidable, capable, and a little bit dangerous in order to stand up for what is rightfully ours in this world.
