I’ve lived a life of waking up in different places… Personally, I think it’s turned out to be a healthy thing because of the way I’ve chosen to look at it. Things that happened to us or not actually good or bad but the meaning we give those things dictates everything. Maybe what I’ll say will have some value to you as well… When I was young I grew up between the Bahamas and Washington state, hated living at home so I was always on the move. Then I joined the Marine Corps did two deployments to Iraq we invaded over two dozen villages and things like that so we were always on the move and I woke up in some amazing and tremendously uncomfortable places when I had a chance to get A few hours of sleep. After that it was Executive Protection with an all-time high of roughly 60 countries in a year, living that Life on repeat for seven years and here we are almost 15 years later… I’ve been inside of Palaces, politicians parties, backstage to everything including one inauguration of a United States President.
What did I learn…?
If you let anything outside of you define you then you’ll never truly know who you are. But this is a dichotomy because most people don’t have any idea who they are in the 1st place because they doubt work at it. We are all learning who we are, to be honest. The difference is some are allowing themselves to be told who they are while others are investing value in themselves to become who they have a feeling they were created to be. Be in the second group. Define yourself, cultivate yourself, invest in your self and become the greatest version of yourself by the grace of God… why do this? To serve the world from your highest level. That is the most validating experience of life. When you see or experience the feeling of using all the power of the gift God to put inside of you to SERVE the world and change lives around you… There’s nothing like it! The external realm is for information, not identification.
