⚜️Thinking ahead is more than half of the game in Executive Protection. The flow of an average day is like a chess match between the seemingly ordinary and your ability to stay sharp while moving as smoothly as possible through the itinerary (if there is one). When the day is familiar to you and it seems like it’s just the same old thing, this actually wins it may be most dangerous, not only because it’s almost natural to take it for granted and let your guard down but also because you’re going places that you’ve been before… places people have seen you before and maybe expecting you to appear. When you’re doing something you’re not familiar with, you must also stay sharp because you’re venturing off into the unknown and you lose the advantage of knowing what is out of place in your environment.

The truth is simply that the consummate security professional must continually be in a heightened state of awareness while always thinking 2 to 3 steps ahead of his client. It is a psychological grind that you must turn into a flow and you’ve got to make it look good wherever you go. At any given time you are representing your own brand, your security company’s brand, and your clients’ brand all at the same time. If anyone can detect that you are taxed or stressed by the equation you are eternally working out in your head, you are failing. Let the still waters run deep. Make it look good and always improve the environment you are in by being peaceful, confident, and professional as often as possible.
