As a company owner, this is an amazing way to keep the skill level of your agents up and also collaborate with other companies and teams in the industry. Find a specialist who will keep you and your crew current on all qualification courses relative to your mission and environment.

If it’s firearms then run through federal, local law enforcement, CCW, and any other qualifications that could prove that yourself, employees, and teammates are above baseline requirements and proficiency levels. If it’s medical then find a specialist that can keep you guys current and above standards medically etc.

The goal is to insulate yourself and your stakeholders from liability if you and yours do need to use any of these tools to defend or save human lives.

Tim Kelly has been an amazing asset in this area and I want to encourage more professional protectors to do the same for themselves, teams, clients, principles, and stakeholders. Run your qualification courses and get in some good training! If you never train together then how will you know how to move together?
