This is a hard conversation, but it’s necessary.
When female officers make direct contact with male suspects in close quarters, the math is not mathing. This isn’t disrespectful. It’s physiology. Testosterone, aggression, speed, strength, and endurance matter in physical engagements, and ignoring that reality creates predictable outcomes.
This is not an argument against women serving in law enforcement. It is an argument for proper deployment, proper tactics, and proper training. If control is not established, distance must be created. Firearm dominance must be maintained. Commands must be clear. Backup must be called. A larger, stronger suspect cannot be allowed to close the distance into physical range.
Once distance collapses, the probability of domination increases.
And now the officer is in survival mode.
