“I have the right to do anything,” you say–but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”–but not everything is constructive.
1 Corinthians 10:23
As you look at your life and the way you spend your time keep these things in mind. You have fun after work and on weekends and I’m sure that feels good but when do you work on getting ahead? When do you work on achieving your goals, maximizing your purpose and hopefully achieving a destiny for yourself? I don’t get smashed on the weekends not because I’m a saint but because purpose adds gravity, focus and boundaries to my life that actually supersede the realm of moral dilemma. Before I have to ask the question of right or wrong, I find myself analyzing the concept and reality of whether or not choosing to do a thing or spend time in whatever way will move me closer or farther away from achieving my purpose. You have one primary responsibility in this life and it is to unlock your potential and for fill your purpose, everything else, everyone else is secondary. The funny thing is, as you go after that purpose you will organically attract, enjoy and contribute to those things in people in your world on higher levels than you ever could if you made them the center of your universe. Because to go after your purpose is to learn how to unlock your potential and the more potential you can access the more powerful you will be to help, love, guide, protect, provide and contribute to everything and everyone in your world. Work while they play and win the ultimate game rather than simply enjoying your jobs leftovers aka the weekend.
