Never forget that what people tell you you cannot do has everything to do with their perspective, their beliefs and their experiences. Most people simply cannot calculate, estimate or fathom you doing some thing differently, unique or especially better than them. This is a natural feature and characteristic to the unconscious mind because that person needs to believe that they made the best decisions they could to get as far as they could in life in order to maintain internal balance and homeostasis. This definitely does not mean that they are a bad person, in fact they may love you with all their heart and might be giving you the best advice they have. What I want you to remember is simply that their best advice it’s just that, advice. Ultimately you will need to define your life and yourself.

The private security and executive protection industry is booming. There’s never been a better time to get into this game. Don’t let anyone put limitations on you, most of all don’t put them on yourself. Maybe you’re in part of the industry and want to do something different… Right now if you can imagine it, someone’s probably doing it. The funny thing about this game is simply that many professionals have no idea what the other ones are doing. Just because you may be in the industry and are not doing some thing within your sphere of influence doesn’t mean it’s not getting done out there in the game somewhere. One thing I’ve learned from all the networking and the interviews I’ve been doing for these last few years is simply that the opportunities are endless.
