How does this new economy work? You always hear everyone talking about how, in order to be successful; you must find something that you can do that you don’t even need to get paid for. They always say it’s not about the money, but before I found my passion, it was hard for me to agree with them. Once I found that, I understood. For the sake of an example of something that will give most of us an emotional payoff, I will reference helping a little old lady with her groceries to the car. When was the last time you helped an elderly individual do something, protected someone, held the door open for someone, or gave someone something? That feeling, which is the result of these types of actions, is very close to the feeling that you will experience when you are engaging in the giving of your gift to this world that is in alignment with your purpose.
Can you imagine feeling that same type of feeling on a daily basis? How validating? How fulfilling, how important, and how validated as an individual would you feel if you were offering someone something that was making their life better in some way that you and only you were able to do, whether they knew it was you or not?
I’m convinced that most people fail on the journey to their own greater destiny, purpose, and future because they focus on the wrong things. When you’re focused on finances but the finances are not there, you create a reality that is in alignment with what you’re focusing on. How are you supposed to maintain momentum and protect your positivity when you’re focusing on the lack or absence of the thing you’re supposedly working for? Money is never the most genuine reason we do things. Money is not even a natural or organic component of human life. If you’re thinking about trying to figure out the thing you want to do with your life and if your primary motivation continually seems to be money, then you need to ask yourself five or six times what money represents to you. Does it represent more time to do what you want to do, freedom, and options to do what you want to do with your life? Does it represent more ability and power to control your life? Does it represent more opportunity to help others? Does it represent more stability? You need to figure out what finances represent to you before you start this journey so you don’t end up focusing on the wrong things and fail to find passion along the way.
Once your hobby has become a skill and you have begun effectively giving your gift on a daily basis, life will regain its vibrancy! Life will come back to life, and you will begin to thrive again. The next step in this process starts to happen quickly because of all the energy you’re able to move as you give your gift. What I mean by that is that as you serve the world by giving your gift, you will be naturally making other people’s lives better by being authentic. This is going to empower them and empower you. Finances are simply a by-product of how many people you can help. Every bill you pay and every time you give out finances, it is because you’re receiving something that is helping you from the person you’re paying.
The next step in the process takes place as you stay consistent and your skill becomes a profession. As you continue to give your gift and make other people’s lives better, other people will be drawn to you. This is how you will find your tribe. Your tribe is the group of people that you have resonance with that love what you do and love you for doing what you do because only you can do what you do the way you do it. Your tribe is out there, and they are waiting to compensate you in direct proportion for the giving of your gift. Once they find you, it is up to you to give your gift as often and as much as possible. Eat, sleep, and breathe the giving of your gift until your last dying breath in order to cause as many ripples as possible, and this is how you will truly prosper in this life. There are no insignificant gifts! If you love something, that means that there are other people out there that love the same thing!
