⚜️This was my second go-round with Mindset Tactical Solutions, LLC and once again I was very impressed, not just with the fact that I had a fantastic time but also with the instructors and the quality of the training itself. We start off in the classroom with an explanation for why reacting to active human threats is so important. That explanation is followed up with real-world statistics, case studies and outcomes to help us accurately understand the urgency behind the effective response to active shooters and active human threats. After this, we begin hands-on instruction where tactics are demonstrated to us and we also get test runs on executing those tactics as a team.

I’d say the major distinction between the two courses I’ve taken with them is that This course is specific to active shooter response… Or crisis response for patrol cops that have zero experience. This made it especially valuable for me to run with one of my teams because we are upgrading our CQC doctrine at this time.
When they teach their CQB fundamentals course coming designed for swat teams that work together all the time.
The differences are huge. In the active-shooter response course, you’ll see a lot of chaotic movement and audible communication whereas their CQB course is not like this.

Courses like this are very important because the reality of the game that first responders play and even with executive protection is simply that you could find yourself needing to navigate a close-quarters environment at any time. When this happens you need to understand how to move.
Many times in the executive protection industry we find ourselves on a detail that has been thrown together like a pickup basketball game. In this instance, individual training is really what’s going to make a difference when it comes to what you can bring to the team. As a first responder you might be the first one there and who knows what skill level the others who join you will have but you will need to work together. These courses from mindset Tactical help solve those problems and bring the baseline of intelligence and skills of operators out there in the field up to improve survivability and efficiency.

This course is designed as if you’re a bunch of cops who never worked together and their handling a critical call where their lives are secondary to innocents.
