I’ve been having a good time bouncing back-and-forth between IDPA and USPSA lately. I’ve also jumped back-and-forth from my dot to iron sights. I want to be able to shoot it all, no matter when I pick up, when, where or in what context, I want to be able to perform at a high-level. It’s not so much about winning the competition for me, as much as it’s about training my brain to be flexible, efficient and able to deal with non-standard problems swiftly and effectively. Every layer of experience I write into the programming of my mind, represents a more robust algorithm that can make different connections and solve more sophisticated problems easier than those who are just shooting on a square range at paper remaining stationary. Either way there are two types of people in this game, the trained and the untrained, which one are you?
