The goal is to find a way to unify your purpose and profession so that your work can be fueled by passion! This is the only way to truly become abnormally successful at something. The reason is because the road to greatness in anything requires sacrifices and most of these sacrifices will come directly from you. If you are doing something that you love passionately it is easy to give yourself to that thing wholeheartedly until that thing has become part of your identity. As we’ve all heard it said before, all knowledge eventually becomes self-knowledge, especially after we internalize and filtered through our own personal beliefs and values. Therefore you may have two master violinists who actually sound nothing like one another. Because mastery allows for individuality as we learn how to do the thing we master on it almost subconscious level.
Nonetheless, the goal with this video is to get you to think and to see very clearly the difference between your purpose and your profession. The primary difference is your form of compensation, with your profession you are receiving a paycheck but with your purpose you are receiving passion. I’m not 100% sure which one is most important exactly but what I do know is more important than either individual component is the ability to unify these two separate components of your life. The goal here is simply to unify both your profession and your purpose in order to do your work with passion and as you achieve this and you’ll find that you will excel far past your peers with exponential growth! this is how all of the greats we read about in history have become great. Every one that has changed the face of our world was an individual who found a way to fuse their purpose with their profession and this drove them passionately to live and die for what they genuinely believed in. Every athlete, every musician, every CEO and everyone else at the top of their field in any endeavor has found a way to foster a union between profession and purpose in order to unlock passion which drove them to reach their full potential in the job field.
