Winning a battle doesn’t always mean I’ve won the war.

Sometimes the most dangerous moment comes after the victory.

I’ve learned that the heart posture I need to maintain is one of humility and submission before God. Just because God gives me victory in one area of my life doesn’t mean I have nothing left to surrender.

I still have blind spots.
I still have weaknesses.
I’m still a broken vessel.

That’s why consecration matters.

Every new territory I enter needs to be surrendered to God. Every victory needs to bring me back to the throne, not make me think I’m the one sitting on it.

And then there’s another battle that can be even harder.

Someone attacks my identity.
They misunderstand me.
They treat me unfairly.

My instinct is to defend myself.

But if I spend all my time thinking about how wrong they were, what I should have said, and how badly I need to prove myself, something starts happening inside of me.

I’m putting myself in the position of my own defender.

And that’s where pride can take over.

Sometimes the greatest act of strength is refusing to let someone else’s attack pull me out of the posture God called me to have.

I don’t have to defend my identity every time someone attacks it.

God knows who I am.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
